After many years in Toronto SM scene I have often struggled to find the words
to define the role of a dominatrix, but have fallen short due to the
somewhat esoteric nature of what we do.
I believe I have finally found the words as I have now found my place and voice.
A Dominatrix is a Magician.
She shapes reality.
She makes fantasy a reality.
She is a BDSM Psychodrama Artist.
A Domina in her power knows these things about herself.
She creatively enables the submissive masochist to live out a fantasy – as safely as possible and sanely.
There is a common misconception about the trappings of BDSM – that a Domina requires costume, equipment and a dungeon to do what she does.
The truth of the matter is that a skilled Domina can accomplish an excellent scene, enabling a real and authentic submissive journey for the client in any setting, while wearing the most casual of attire, with or without equipment, with or without saying a single word.
Do not underestimate the power of a look.
That said, a highly motivated and inspired dominatrix will employ as many available tools as possible to "set the stage", so to speak.
She will use costume, a creatively designed environment, "props" and sound (or lack of) to set a tone - a mood - for the action that She is planning.
DOMINATION IS A TWO-WAY STREET
Let us not be delusional, however. A successful scene is a two way street.
For the submissive to realize the full potential of a BDSM session, he must
completely surrender to the experience.
Reluctance or inability to do so will not allow the magic to unfold.
A domina of any skill level will not be able to overcome the negative impact of an uncooperative client’s reticence to fully “go there”.
The submissive is an important part of the equation
that makes up the scene.
Think twice before calling me.
Are you willing to completely surrender to me that you may fully know an authentic and deep D/s experience?
